If you’re still looking for a great way to give back this holiday season, Gilmore encourages you to give gifts or your time to one of our favorite non-profits, Urban Peak, which supports and keeps youth from being homeless.
The non-profit, which you can also donate to for Colorado Gives Day tomorrow, has a holiday needs list to which you can contribute either directly to the organization or through their Amazon Wish List.
Here are some of their needs:
“Holiday present needs:
-$20-$25 gift cards to Target or Walmart
-$5-$10 gifts cards to Subway, Chipotle, Native Foods, Wendy’s, etc.
-Movie theater gift certificates
Holiday meals:
-12.17.2014, 6:30pm: Meal for 20 people, served at one of our housing programs
-12.23.2014, 4-6pm: Meal for 20 people, served at one of our housing programs
Items we currently need (all items are needed for both women and men):
-Hats
-Gloves
-Winter socks
-Winter face masks
-Long underwear
-Winter coats
-Hand and feet warmers
-Winter Boots
-Belts
-Backpacks
