Gilmore has been a longtime supporter of the Colorado Springs Black Chamber of Commerce, which will be hosting Pulitzer Prize nominee Clifton L. Taulbert for a lecture Sept. 26 at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs.
The event recognizes the 21st anniversary of the chamber’s presence in Colorado Springs.
Mr. Taulbert, co-author of Who Owns the Ice House: The Eight Life-Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for his book, The Last Train North. He is a highly respected entrepreneur who works as president and chief executive officer of Roots Java Coffee, an African-American-owned national coffee brand that imports coffee from Africa.
